SPICY BEED NOODLES

“Found Hi Chong Qing tucked away unassumingly off of Victoria St and it’s been a go-to for soupy noods since. The joint’s signature dish may be their deceptively simple Chong Qing Noodles, but the menu item I invariably gravitate towards has to be their Spicy Beef Noodles – a soul-warming hearty broth that plays host to moreish strands of noodles and tender chunks of slow-cooked beef. It’s the perfect cure to a cold Melbourne winter’s day, as well as one of the best hangover cures (or, at the very least, relievers) I’ve come across in the city.I go for the Original Spice heat setting and love to zhuzh it up a bit with a fried egg on top (sometimes adding tofu if I'm feeling particularly wild). Basically, heaven in a bowl – only spicy.”
