“Shop Báo Ngoc is a second-generation Vietnamese restaurant. Vegan and GF friendly, locally owned. In the wake of COVID-19, the business has started a Flatten the Curve delivery system, where customers are asked to make a donation of $15 and receive the meal of the day, nobody is turned away for lack of funds, and the system is completely anonymous and judgement-free. I’ve chosen to illustrate a dish from their regular menu (which you can still order), the tofu & spring roll BÚN vermicelli noodle salad, also available with roast pork or char-grilled chicken. Served with pickled carrots, cabbage, cucumber, Vietnamese herbs, peanuts, and sweetened dipping sauce the Vermicelli noodle salad is absolutely delicious and beautifully colourful.”
