“I first discovered Kingsford Chinese Restaurant when I started uni just a short walk away from this iconic powerhouse of Chinese food. With its big, hearty servings and truly extensive menu, it quickly became my go-to place for comfort food. Funnily enough, almost every single time I went I would order the exact same thing, this beautiful steamed chicken in ginger and shallot oil (my favourite combo of aromatics). Last year I was gutted to find out it had shut down (ostensibly forever) but was recently thrilled to discover that the legends are back under a new name, WeWok!”
